Holiday Cheer... Christmas decor at our house...taken on the night of our Very Perry Christmas Party. And above my husband played Santa for my students.
The Turkey Bowl 2008. Chad (my hubby) and Alex (Mar's hubby) play in this annual football game that takes place the day after Thanksgiving. My brother in laws and other family members also play. Each one thinks he is an all star!
Our first "Thanks-for-Giving" meal. We got together with friends and cooked a Thanksgiving meal since we all spend the actual Thanksgiving day with our family.
Eden...my God daughter and Mar's daughter...isn't she a cute bee?
We have been so lucky to have the greatest bunch of seniors this year. Each of our shoots have been so fun and easy because the Seniors were so great in front of the camera. Here's Tim. He enjoys photography himself, so it was fun to shoot someone who was so comfortable with a camera. Thanks Tim for a great experience!
One of life's greatest pleasures is seeing things through the eyes of a child. I am blessed to experience seeing with a child's eyes each day as a Kindergarten teacher. I am also blessed to be the aunt of three amazing nieces and one fabulous nephew. Today's adventure involves my niece Avery Leigh. Let the story begin...
The day started out with Mass in the morning and through the cold and drizzling raindrops I wondered if our adventure would indeed take place. After church the weather took a turn for the better and Avery, her Mom Erin and I headed out to Eshleman's Fruit Farm in Clyde Ohio. Upon our arrival Avery was super excited. First we checked out their store and picked out some apples for Avery's Daddy Jason. We named the colors, looked at the bee display and even giggled at some cute mini pumpkins. Then the time came. We were given our plastic bags and turned over to the alleys of trees that line the fruit farm. It was time for apple pickin'!
Many of the trees had been picked over so we had to drive back to the furthest part of the orchard to get to the trees who still had glorious bulbs of red apples hanging on them. When we reached the trees Avery was off and running. She picked away and filled a bag in no time! She intently looked at the apples and didn't give up even when some where challenging to pull off. She had such a good time and you could tell that this was a fun experience for her. We talked with her about someday when her sister Rylan would be big enough to come join in the fun. All in all it was just a blast to spend time with two of my favorite girls...Avery and her Mom Erin.
Thanks Avery Leigh for letting Aunt Lissa be a part of your first apple picking experience. Thanks also to Erin for including me in the lives of my nieces. I feel blessed to be a part of your lives and I look forward to many more firsts as the girls grow!
Another fun and fantastic shoot at the Mill. This time with the Maiberger family. They are very warm and wonderful people. I had a lot of fun with this one. Thank you everyone for being so cooperative and enjoying the family photo experience!
Jaden is such a cute little guy. He had a great time on this shoot, which involved looking for combines in the fields, throwing rocks, and eating lots of candy as a reward for good listening and "cheesy" smiles! He is growing up so fast! I feel so proud when I look through my lens at this little guy. He is turning 2 this month, and I was so happy to have another great photo shoot with him and his awesome mom!
I've tried a new layout between the last post an this one. This is a new program that I found called smilebox. Most of the pictures remain the same, I just changed the format and did a scrapbook this time. Feel free to let me know which one you like better.
