Senior Moments ~by Mar

We have been so lucky to have the greatest bunch of seniors this year. Each of our shoots have been so fun and easy because the Seniors were so great in front of the camera. Here's Tim. He enjoys photography himself, so it was fun to shoot someone who was so comfortable with a camera. Thanks Tim for a great experience!

Apple Pickin'~by Mel

One of life's greatest pleasures is seeing things through the eyes of a child.  I am blessed to experience seeing with a child's eyes each day as a Kindergarten teacher.  I am also blessed to be the aunt of three amazing nieces and one fabulous nephew.  Today's adventure involves my niece Avery Leigh.  Let the story begin...
The day started out with Mass in the morning and through the cold and drizzling raindrops I wondered if our adventure would indeed take place.  After church the weather took a turn for the better and Avery, her Mom Erin and I headed out to Eshleman's Fruit Farm in Clyde Ohio.  Upon our arrival Avery was super excited.  First we checked out their store and picked out some apples for Avery's Daddy Jason.  We named the colors, looked at the bee display and even giggled at some cute mini pumpkins.  Then the time came.  We were given our plastic bags and turned over to the alleys of trees that line the fruit farm.  It was time for apple pickin'!
Many of the trees had been picked over so we had to drive back to the furthest part of the orchard to get to the trees who still had glorious bulbs of red apples hanging on them.  When we reached the trees Avery was off and running.  She picked away and filled a bag in no time!  She intently looked at the apples and didn't give up even when some where challenging to pull off.  She had such a good time and you could tell that this was a fun experience for her.  We talked with her about someday when her sister Rylan would be big enough to come join in the fun.  All in all it was just a blast to spend time with two of my favorite girls...Avery and her Mom Erin.
Thanks Avery Leigh for letting Aunt Lissa be a part of your first apple picking experience.  Thanks also to Erin for including me in the lives of my nieces.  I feel blessed to be a part of your lives and I look forward to many more firsts as the girls grow!

Getting to be a big boy ~ by Mar

Jaden is such a cute little guy. He had a great time on this shoot, which involved looking for combines in the fields, throwing rocks, and eating lots of candy as a reward for good listening and "cheesy" smiles! He is growing up so fast! I feel so proud when I look through my lens at this little guy. He is turning 2 this month, and I was so happy to have another great photo shoot with him and his awesome mom!

Beautiful Little Girl~ by Mel

I continue to be amazed at how fast children grow. Little Miss Rylan Nichole had her sixth month photo shoot not too long ago and she is changing by the minute! Words like sweet, cute, adorable, precious and darling are all words you could use to describe Ry Ry. I find however that her laid back nature and go with the flow personality are some of my favorite things about her. She never minds me coming at her with my big black camera. One of my Kindergarten students actually called my camera a monster the other day! It doesn't seem to bother Rylan one bit though. In fact she shines in front of the camera. Her smiles light up any who come near her and you can't help but be in a good mood around this little gift. She is just a beautiful little girl. Thanks Ry Ry for making Aunt Lissa's world a little bit brighter.

Special thanks to Erin, Jason and big sis Avery who are also pictured. The love you have for each other always comes through in your pictures.
